Where pickups happen in Roseland

Roseland is one of Chicago’s 77 official community areas, on the Far South Side, and Princeton Park, a 1944 subdivision of single-family homes, sits in its northwest corner. Pickups here are mostly at the curb or in a driveway. Roseland’s blocks are full of brick bungalows and frame houses, and on the western edge, Fernwood (roughly 99th to 103rd Street) is bungalow country. A car in a side drive or a detached garage is an easy pickup. A car on the street needs one thing from you: tell us which side of the street it’s on and what it’s parked near.

If the car belonged to a relative who moved away or passed, read junking a car whose title isn’t in your name before you book, because the owner’s side of the paperwork comes first.

Roads and landmarks our drivers use

Michigan Avenue is the name everyone knows. Its stores once served the whole South Side, and it’s still the easiest line to describe a location from. 103rd, 111th and 115th Streets run east to west through the area, State Street and the Dan Ryan mark the western side, and the Metra Electric main line runs along Roseland’s border with Pullman, with stations at 95th, 103rd, 107th, 111th and 115th.

At the north end, the 95th/Dan Ryan station is the Red Line’s southern terminal, and it sits in Roseland. That’s changing: the Red Line Extension is under construction south to a new 130th Street terminal, with new stations planned at 103rd Street and 111th Street in Roseland and at Michigan Avenue. Construction started in 2026 and is expected to run to 2030, so some blocks will have work zones for a while.

A paperwork note for Roseland

If you’d rather replace a lost title before selling, the nearest Secretary of State facility on the expedited-service list is Chicago South, on South King Drive; the Secretary of State’s facility finder has its hours. Expedited service costs $30 on top of the $50 duplicate fee; our lost title guide has the rest. Or skip the wait: tell Junk Car Company which papers you have, and we’ll say on the call whether they’re enough.

Why this page exists

Few people type “junk car Roseland” into a search bar. They search “junk my car” from a phone on 111th Street, and this page is for them. It’s one of six Far South Side pickup areas that Junk Car Company covers, alongside neighboring Pullman and West Pullman.
